How do I buy things?
Buying items from the Baby Pants site could not be
easier. Much like any other ecommerce site, items are added to
a shopping basket, before the purchase is completed by typing
your name, address and credit card information.
Firstly, have a look at our main page,
which contains summaries of all the items we sell. To see an
enlarged version of any design, just click on the picture. If
you wish to put any of the items into your basket, select the
size, and the quantity you require, and then click the 'add
to basket' button. This will take you to the shopping basket
screen, which will show all the items you have chosen, along
with the current total cost.
Shipping is based on delivery to the UK - if you live
elsewhere, click the appropriate button, and the page will
reload with the updated shipping prices.
The shopping basket screen allows you to amend your
prospective purchases. You may change your mind and remove an
item by clicking 'delete item'. If you want to change the
amount in your basket, move the mouse over the amount and change
it, then click 'amend item'. If you wish to add more
items to your basket, click 'continue shopping' down at
the bottom of the screen, and if you are ready to pay for your
shopping, click 'go to checkout'.
The checkout screen is comprised of two parts - firstly a
section for you to enter your personal details for our
information, and secondly the secure 'WorldPay' server section,
where your credit card details are taken for transaction.
You are required to enter your name, address and
postcode for the credit card verification, and your email
address so that we can send you a receipt, and also tell you
when your items are dispatched.
Once your non-credit card information is entered, click the 'Take me to
WorldPay' button. Notice that a padlock or a key has
now appeared at the bottom right of your browser window. This
means you are now connected to a secure server, which guarantees
the safety of your credit card information.
You will be asked for your credit card number, its start and
expiry dates, along with your name as it appears on the card.
There is also the opportunity to change your address. Once you
are happy with everything, click the 'Make Payment' button.
You'll receive confirmation of your purchase automatically once
your details have been verified. And that's it.
How much postage and packing do I pay?
Postage and packing is calculated at a fixed rate, depending
on what part of the world you live in. These charges are the
same no matter how many babygrows you buy - so the more you buy,
the more you save!
Customers living in the UK pay £2.50, customers in Europe
pay £3.50, and customers from anywhere else in the world pay £4.50.
What about VAT?
No VAT, or other taxes are charged. Children's clothes are
exempt from VAT in the UK.
What if they are the wrong size or
the wrong design or I just don't like them?
If you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason, you may
return it for a full refund. Send the item(s) to the address on
the contact page, together with your name and address, and we
will refund your money, less postage and packing costs, by
return of post.
How secure are my Credit Card details?
Your credit card details are never seen by Baby Pants.
We use the trusted ecommerce supplier 'WorldPay' to collect and
authorize credit card payments. WorldPay are one of the few endorsed
by UK banks.
They use secure servers to collect the information,
which passes through a Secure Socket Layer (SSL). This encodes
all the information using a 128 bit security key. This process
is automated by your browser and the WorldPay server, so no
action is required on your part. You will only be aware of the
fact that the data link is secure by a padlock appearing in the
bottom bar of Microsoft’s Explorer browser, or by the broken
key becoming solid on Netscape’s Navigator.
And what if I have another question
that is not answered here?
